For the Kindreds series, my interest in patterns takes a different form.
I focused on those motifs used by diverse cultures throughout history. I think
of these designs as a dynamic, universal visual language that weaves through
time, enabling artists to continue the age-old story.

We are all connected to one another and to all living beings.

The Lakota have a phrase:
Mitákuye Oyás’in.
We Are All Related.
